Default 1999 s70

Hi.

Like I said in my intro, I have an S70 thats in need of mechanical attention. I like this car very much, because it's a pleasure to drive, and confortable too! Unfortunatly, it's old, and with as such has a few problems that need attention and I will list below.

I'm pretty sure the problems I'm about to list have been posted already, but I cant find them. I read about them 6 months ago, so please excuse me if I'm starting a new thread for nothing.
So, to the point. The car is 15 years old, with manual transmition and 324000 km on it. It was my old brothers car, so it's always been in the family.
The first problem I had was a leak in the cooling system, due to crack in the CL deposit. That was easy enough to change. But now the temperature gauge in the dashboard won't work, by which I mean that it does not show the temperature. Also the cooling fan start up the minute I turn on the car, and wont shut down for about 5 to 10 minutes after I turn it off (It killed my battery)

I read that what I should do is first check that both the temperature sensor and cooling fan relay are correctly pluged, by cleaning and adding ¿dioelectric grease? (cant remember the name).

If that doesn't work, I should change both the temperature sensor and ECF relay, since they are both close to each other.

This last one being the case, I KNOW I saw a post where someone showed you how to change them, anyone seen it, or am I imagining it?

Other problems that this car has is a weird rattling noise that comes from somewhere in the engine. I believe its the transmition belt, but I'm not sure. It's particulary loud when I shut down the engine, as if it's about to fall off or something.

Lastly, it's a loss of power that this car has suffered (my brother commented on it last time he took the car for a spin). Sometimes, when I press the accelarator, the car will rev up from say 2500 rpms to 3000 rpms, and it struggles to increase speed when going up a small hill.

Apart from that, there's just small little things that I want fixed, but the important one is the ECF and Temp gauge not working. I can't be sure if its safe to drive the car everyday...especially with the dasboard lighting up like the circus fair.

Thanks for any help you can give, and again, excuse me if there are posts on this alrready.
