Default 1999 S70 questions

Hey guys, I've found a '99 S70 that I'm interested in buying. I just wanted to get some opinions first. Here is the car.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m32

What do you guys think would be a fair price for that one? And would it give me a lot of problems considering the mileage, or would it be pretty reliable? I'm only gonna be driving it back and forth to work more or less. Any info would be much appreciated!

1999 means ETM which is Electronic Throttle Module. Be sure that the throttle modeule has been replaced and the new software installed.

Personally I on a 1999 s70 and I wouldn't get another one. Get a 1998.

What does the ETM do?

Also, I'm only looking for something cheap (under $2500) that will last a couple years. I'm going to be saving up for something nicer after I pick up something cheaper just for now. Would that S70 be a decent car for $2500?

ETM is your throttle body.

Not really sure what that means. I basically just want to know if the car is an alright deal for $2500 and if it's gonna be fairly reliable for the next couple years assuming I take good care of it.

You don't know what a throttle body is? That is fine, look it up on Wikipedia.

I need to find a car within the next couple weeks because I'm moving so I can't afford to be really picky or wait around for something "perfect."

Dont buy cars on ebay, get something local, or maybe wait until you move.
