My s70 has been running very rough. The car has absolutely no power. I can accelerate only in the higher rpms. At low rpms i am at a loss of power At constant throttle the car is very jumpy and idle is inconsistent/rough. When I first start the car it revs to about 3300rpm then slowly drops back down. I have cleaned my throttle body multiple times. It use to help for a little while, but now it is a very temporary fix. I am getting these codes p1053

p0442- I know this one is most likely my evap cannister j hose. I have ordered a replacement

Any help would be appreciated. I understand that one of these codes is for my ECM and could be signaling other codes. Does it sound like the ECM is the issue, or should I look more into a new ETM?

 

Man, that's like a Christmas tree. Oh, welcome to the forum.

I would reset the codes and see which comes back the soonest. Most likely the ETM is bad if it hasn't been changed within the past 24 months.

 

If you have not done a tune up, I'd start there and work yourself down... But first clear your codes, then do it, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to check all vaccum lines.

My V70 drops idle to 500RPM when coming to a stop. Otherwise runs OK, good acceleration, solid RPMs on the highway.
