Exclamation 2000 s70 ambient temp sensor

Does anyone know what the anbient temp sensor in front of the right front wheel attaches into? My son ran the car into a guardrail (actually 2nd son to run a car into a guardrail this week) and caused "minor" damage to the fender and turn signal, but the temp sensor is dangling in front of the wheel.
thanks

Look for a corresponding hole on the plastic engine splash guard. Normally mounts horizontally, but check to make sure all the clips on it are still good.

It looks like I don't have a splash guard, and there are not any clips on the sensor. This may be a job for duct tape or other similar fastener. The sensor is at least still working. Maybe I need to look at an S70 with a splash guard to see what I need. Thanks for the help.

Might have come off, they are only plastic.
