Default 2000 S70 Starting Problem

Having intermittent problem staring engine. Sometimes the engine will start and run for maybe 1 sec and then stop. We turn the key back to off position and try again. It may take several tries but then the engine eventually starts and stays running. Happens most times when the engine is cold but has happened at running temperature. Any suggestions?

Maybe you have a fuel delivery problem. Could be an air flow meter as well. You may want to pull codes.

this happened to me, usually on humid days. the car would start, run for a second or two, and then sputter and die out. there were a couple of air leaks where moisture was getting into the engine upon startup, replaced the hoses and the problem went away. check for air leaks?

could also be the immobilizer antenna ring. try unplugging it and plugging it back in before replacing.
