Default 2000 S70 turbo ??

Looking at buying a 2000 S70, should I be worried about the dash coming loose? I have read about it on this forum and wondering if this will become an upcoming problem. Also I have run across a few volvos where the moon roof does not work, is this a common problem?

The dash being looose and the sunroof being inop is not a common problem I see in my shop but has happened here and there. You may or may not have these problems, and if you dont.... you may have a timing belt break and need an engine. Who knows what will happen to the car. Its a solid car with a great engine, buy it.

If you live in a warmer climate it is 100% that the dash will break.

$5,500 Sounds a little steep to me. Check www.nadaguides.com for value.

hi
it's expensive.
I bought mine 99 s70 glt 125k miles before few days , the moon roof and the glass not working, it's leaking oil and making smoke but it's very clean for $2100.
I'll spend sometime fixing it but i think it's price is very good.
i can show you the photos if you want.

Well I bought it for $5500, its very clean needs nothing, It did have a rear tail lite bulb burnt out, bought 2 at autozone for $4.99, drove it to a business meeting 200 miles, did not burn a drop of oil. It has a few minor scratches on the paint, very good tires, has service records up to 90,000 miles, and a sticker that says the timing belt was changed at 102000 miles. it now has 125000 miles

Cool. Welcome to the Volvo club. It should not burn more than 1/2 quart of oil every 3,000 miles.

keep track of what it costs you to fix everything so we can do a comparison of what is best, buy one that needs work or one that does not.
