98 s70
So I have a question I have a 98 s70 2.4 non turbo and I want to turbo the vehicle. I have a parts car that it a 2000 s70 glt vin 56 2.4 turbo what would I have to do If I can to make my turbocharged using the glt system. Can I leave my ecu in my car and just bolt everything in and change the fuel injectors and pressure regulator and all the parts bolted to the turbo? Im a mechanic but never converted a car to a turbo only supercharged old school stuff. Please help with any info you can give. I really want to drop this system in.
Considering the ECU controls the boost (ie wastegate) in the turbo engines, you'd be a few parts short and would need to match up the ECU and wiring to all the other fuel management parts properly to manage the engine.
I have all the parts to move over including the harness that I can use. Will I have to use a ecu from another glt model that doesnt have a automatic transmission since the ecu talks to the tcu and could go into limp mode if it doesn't see the tcu?
