When the alarm is triggered, the 4-ways flash, but no sound comes out. It used to work correctly until it went off one day and faded away as a scratchy noise for good within 10 seconds.

My horn still works though. So I'm confused as to why this has happened. Anyone know what could be the root of this issue?

The alarm horn is different from the normal horn. The alarm one is mounted on the firewall by upper mount.

yu can trigger the alarm and look under the hood where tech said, it might still move but make no sound. Try tightening it up if its lose.

 

Found it, and it was in fact loose, after tightening, it still did not work, I am going to try and modify the 850 alarm horn so that the plug works with the S70's.. will this work? they appear to be the same..
