Default '98 S70 Issue

Okay, so my parents have already spent about 1,200 on my S70, and I still have problems with it.

It wouldn't start one day at school so my parents had it towed home. We took it to a mechanic and he said it could be the PNP/NSW. We replaced both of the parts and had the codes reset and it ran perfectly fine. I got in my car about 2 days ago, and now my S,E,W module (the little buttons on the bottom of the shifter) light up like this;

S,E,W
S,E,W
S,E,W
S,E,W
S,E,W
S,E,W

And, there is this little orange Up arrow that blinks like this;

When I start my volvo, sometimes the S,E,W and Up lights won't even be on...The car runs/shifts through its "gears" perfect. Other times, I turn the car on or drive for a few miles and then the shift arrow starts to blink again, and my car feels like it is "slipping" from 40MPH down to 30MPH, and I feel this....almost "sputter" like feeling. It's pissing me off, because my parents just spent all this money and now there is another problem.

Before *I* bought *my* car, I had it looked at, and two different mechanics said it was amazing for its year. (And the fact that it had been restored from the Volvo people up in RI, and still has the peoples information who bought it for 16k in 2001), said I should ****** it up for the price of 3k.

What could the problem be? I don't want to ask my parents to spend more of *their* money helping me fix this pos if it has a bigger problem.

HELP, please. My volvo hurts...

Any strange lights illuminated on the dash (besides the orange arrow)? How's the condition of the ABS module? If its bad, that might be the cause of your problem. Good luck with getting to the bottom of it.
