Default 99 S70 headlight problem

Please help, my headlights will not come on, high beams work but switch will not stay locked in, fuses ok under hood , turn signal and side lights work fine .

When u say the switch wont stay locked in, do you mean the high beams handle on the steering wheel? That is separate from the headlight switch. The headlight switch on my 98 s70 is to the left under the instrument cluster. it rotates so there is no way it could NOT stay locked as you say.

Thanks for getting back, my bad, the switch on the column is fine, the problem is just the headlights, fuses ok, bulbs ok, highbeams ok, parking and turn lights ok, headlights will not come on at all.

Possibly the headlight switch bad or the electrical part of the ignition switch.
