Hi,

The ABS light indicator on my 97 S70 has been coming on after driving for some time. This happens on every trip made. There is also some sound coming from somewhere just before the ABS light comes on. Can anybody help in diagnosing the problem? Thanks.

 

99.9% sure the ABS module is bad.
You can get it rebuilt at many places for less than $100.00

 

You know of any places the module can be sent for rebuilding? I'm not aware of many honest shops in my area and I'm having the same issue. Brake pedal goes soft, buzzes under-foot, then sinks and the ABS and TRACS OFF lights pop up.

Sound about right? It's bad due to some loss ofbraking power while driving.
