Default ABS light, can i still drive?

Hello! I'm a college student, and this morning I turned on my car to warm up the engine and the ABS warning light was on. I was planning on leaving to go home today (it's a five hour trip). Is it dangerous to do so? Could the light be a result of cold/snow/ice? It wasn't on yesterday when I turned the car on. Please help!

1. What do you own? Year/Make/Model...

2. Did the ABS light come on and stay on? Or did it come on and go off?

3. To answer your question in short, YES you can still drive your car. However you just wont have ABS. Your brakes will work don't worry. You just wont have ABS like I said before.
