Default AC Light Blinking

Some cars do this when the freon's low but I just charged it.

Should I be concerned if the light's blinking?

Thanks

The light blinking means there is a self diagnostic trouble code stored. Have you checked those codes?

A Blinking light is not caused (on your year) by low freon. (there is no sensor for that on your year)

I have not yet. Not sure how many codes that one light could throw.

I did just bypass the heater core too because the a/c was blowing heat on the passenger side and I didn't want to rip apart the dash.

the codes will tell you various things like when an air blend door actuator motor fails or is out of sync, just make sure you have a fully featured code reader - not all budget readers will scan for ECC errors. So the fault code is probably telling you why the passenger side heat is staying on..

850OBDII or Vol-Fcr will read ECC codes.

All that stuff was happening before the light started blinking. It started after I bypassed the heater core.

I ran the code and it's

P0531 A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

If anyone has an idea of where to look first.

Well, I guess I'd look at freon pressure. I am not sure what the electrical range is supposed to be, though, and that's what the computer is complaining about. I'm just thinking if the pressure is (for instance) zero, then the sensor has a very legitimate complaint, and you of course already knew it was zero and thus we're all happy. The sensor is not going to be all that expensive nor is it hard to get to.
