Recently the check engine light came on and it was diagnosed as a secondary intake malfunction. The volvo dealer wanted to replace the air pump and the other things along with it.. I did some testing and the air pump and everything works fine, it just won't turn on. When i pull the air pump relay cover off and manually turn the relay on, the air pump turns on, but it won't turn on on its own. I'm assuming this a computer problem or something is shorted out somewhere and the relay is just not being told to turn on. Any help or ideas as to what can be wrong would be appreciated.

 

Was there also a code for the coolant temp sensor?
