Default Won't start/ Dash indicator lights won't turn off

I have a 1994 850. it was runing great and then it just shut down. I thought it was the fuel relay/pump but fuel is getting there. Then I changed the ignition, rotor and cap, cam sensor, and clean the injectors. There is spark and it cranks but does not start. I notice the indicator dash lights stay on even after I remove the keys from the ignition cylinder. I now have to undo the battery. I checked the codes and they are all ok. 1-1-1.

I am looking at buying a 1995 850 that has auto and the 5t. They say the dash lights stay on when the car is turned off. Thought your problem sounded almost like the same problem. They also said that the car will start but will turn off on its own after awhile. What fuse did you replace or what did you do to fix it?

It appears that he pulled all of his fuses and somehow that reset something.

My guess would be bad ignition switch or sticky relay...

A lot of the forum threads on this issue talk about it but none of them tell the fix. IT just deadends and leaves you hanging. The car will start then just turn off. It sounds electrical or even a security code locking out the start run circut. I had a Jeep that would do the same thing if the battery was disconnected. You had to lock and unlock the doors from inside the car, then start the car and turn it off three times. So I wonder if there is a security lock out on these cars?

i agree with the ignition relay being bad ,the contacts get pits and won't release , replace ignition relay

Default 2001 s60 volvo t5

I have a 2001 volvo s60 t5 and the check engine light indicated that I had misfires, so I changed spark plugs and ignition coils, and now car cranks but won't start, the battery is 9/12, I replaced it with my daughters car Hyundai elantra battery 3/16 but not sure if it enough voltage to start car as the battery is a lot smaller in size, have no idea what the problem could be

You might be better off to start a new thread in the S60 forum.
