its a blow off valve, they release pressure when you let go of the gas, only necessary if your pushing a lot of boost

Yes it is a Blow off Valve. It releases excess boost pressure and safetly vents it into the atmosphere. You don't need to be pushing tons of boost to have one, you can get one on your stock car. I have one, mine a Turbo XS Type H-RFL though.

Dude seriously you need to do SEARCHES on the web. Try using GOOGLE it is your friend. There are tons of brands of Blow Off Valves out there, some better then others.

-HKS SSQV one of the best, but exspensive. VMS sells a cheaper knockoff of it.

yea this forum isnt exactly the aftermarket forum, i come here with car troubles because they dont get flamed or lost in the huge expanse of volvospeed. instead tech uses his incredible knowledge and i get a informative response. if you want aftermarket, volvospeed would have more info for you tupapison
