Been a while, performance issue!
Hey everyone. As noted, its been a while. I have a 98 S70 T5, 5speed. 160k+ miles on it. Runs great still but this is something I'm dealing with now and wanted some expert advice. If I drive smooth car runs like a top. Will accelerate fine and get up and cruise as normal. However, If I try to h it it in the gears I am getting a stuttering and almost a stalling feeling. I have not changed the plugs/wires in a long time. Dont know enough to know if this is a turbo issue. I really an not mechanical at all and figure this will need to go in. Just wanted some advice/thoughts on what this could be. Thanks!
I will bet it needs a complete tune up.
Try getting on it really hard and see if the check engine light flashes. If it does then that means it is misfiring.

Thanks for the advice tech. When driven hard the light does not flash, so I'm guessing I'm looking at the full tune up as you suggested. On the S70 can you tell me what needs to be done on the full tune up and an approx price I should be looking at? Should the turbo be looked at when they do this. As always, thanks for the help.
I think most places are around $400 or so to get it done. I may be off some but double check.
They should do: Dist cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter, air filter and check everything over good. I doubt they would look at the turbo.
