Default BRAKE/ROTORS

Did a brake job yesterday, new aftermarket pads and rotors, no screeching or any other side effects, the brakes do feel a bit spongy though, they seem to sqeeze to the grip, not really pinching or clamping to the grip, do these descriptions make any sense and is this good, bad, okay.

Thanks

Jim

You should swap the brake fluid and do a thorough job bleeding the lines, air bubbles in the lines will cause a soft/spongy pedal feel.

I agree that your lines and calipers need bleeding. A neat suggestion for you that I use in my European autos is to use ATE Super blue fluid for the first flush, and the following year use ATE super which is yellow in colour. That way you can tell easily when the old fluid is completely flushed from each line as the colour will change. ATE Super fluids are the "Cadillac" of Dot 4 fluids without getting into different 'racing' fluids.

I agree to Flush/Bleed the brakes.
