Default car died... acting like i hit fuel cut.

one thing i have noticed while surfing around is everyone seems to be willing to help, no flaiming, so heres my problem.

alright..... yes, my antenna goes up, yes i know what oil to use, and yes i know what spark plugs it uses.

haha but the car did die on me.driving the car easy, no romping on it,light accelerating, and it dies going about 40MPH... i hear a ticking... that fades away... i coast to the local gas station. i tried starting the car, the starter turns over but no start. im getting spark, and no blow fuzes. it doesnt seem like im getting fuel... now what?

any ideas?

brother and i just hooked up an OBD reader to the car, no errors.
while we were turning over the key, we could hear the fuel pump priming, so that is getting electricity. we are gonna check to see if the motor is getting fuel tomorrow, hope it might be a clogged fuel line.

samadkins, i hope the timing isnt messed up lol that would not be fun

I dont really know if the timing belt would be it, I jsut said it since I know they need to be replaced every 70k miles and they go with/out warning.

havent been able to take a look at it yet, been busy with my girlfriend, err now my ex girlfriend. gonna try to get under it today, got up super early =)

just thinking... if i have spark, wouldnt that mean the timing belt is ok? i think the bad fuel pump ideacould be a posiblity too.

well it looks like it isnt the fuel pump. we took off the fuel line connected to the fuel rail, and put it on ignition and fuel was comming out. we desided to try to crank it over and heard aknocking comming from the timing belt housing.

we took off the timing belt cover and relized the timing belt was ok, but loose. i look down and see 3 ball bearings. NOT GOOD. it looks like the ?tensioner? is F.U.B.A.R. here are the pics of what we found.
