Default Changing barkes on 2000 s70

Ok, I'm extremely challenged, so type slow. I'm in the process of changing the brake pads on the front end. I have removed two bolts, and two pens (via 7mm Hex socket). However, the caliper will not come off. What have I overlookied?

I appreciate the feedback guys.

Dave

Did you remove the spring on the outer part of the caliper?

Thanks for the quick response Tech. I did not remove a spring. Where is it located exactly? Is it on the bottom or something?

Your welcome also use a screw driver between the pad and rotor easy to push the pad back some to make the caliper slide off easy. The pads can also make it hard to slide off. So if you push the piston back some it will slide right off.

Wow, that was easy. Once you figure out how to, it's a quick job. I took out the two bolts on the caliper, which I did not need to do. The clip was easy to remove and put back on.

You were right about the pads being shoved tight to the rotor. By applying slight and constant pressure to the brake pad with a screw driver, it eased the pressure and slid right off.

Thanks again Tech, you simplified this for a mechanically challenged and current grease monkey
