How do I reset this code P0410, I replaced the shut off valve and beleave I have the problem fixed. I pulled the neg. battery cable but when the car relearns or does a drive cylce the check engine light comes back. Thanks for any help.

 

You will need to clear it with a scanner.

 

Not to open a new topic since I have the same problem, same code that is, I will continue on this one.
I see that ZO6john replaced shut off valve to get rid of the po410, is that the only part that can trigger this code? And where is it located?

The shut off Valve is inline. Look for a Metal Valve at the back of the engine and Follow hose to Valve.

Is it possible that this code came up because one of the 2 little hoses (white one) on the airbox was off completely? As I was trying to look for shut off valve I've noticed that this hose was just hanging in the air, I put it back in the air box and I am hoping that this was the problem that caused p0410-> Secondary Air Injection System.

Well, that didnt last too long[:@]..check engine came back on after few minutes.
I am not sure about the pump, will try it in the morning.

 

I cant find shut off valve on any of the sites where I've looked. Does it go by some other name maybe?

 

Should the air pump run when the car is cold as soon as you turn the key on? Or do you need to start the engine? TIA.

 

i just got this code today as well this is getting stupid, seems like one code after another. i had a bad catalytic converter ( main cat efficiency ) o2 sensor sensor 2 was killed because of the blown up cat, now this.

 

problem solved on mine, it was a vacuum hose that was deteriorated
