Default Colour Difference - '99 to 2000 S70

Hi. New owner of a silver 1999 S70. I actually bought it for my son-it's his first car. (I wish my first car was a Volvo!)

Anyway, I've been doing a little bit of maintenance/minor repair on it and managed to mostly fix the dent at the front of the hood that the previous owner did at low speed. I was going to use Bondo to finish it up, but I found someone a few hours away that is parting out his 2000 S70. I can get the hood for a great price, but he says the colour is Pewter.
Is this colour the same or darker than my '99's silver, and if darker, how much? I don't have the opportunity to see the hood in person, but he assures me that it's in great shape. He says it's a little darker than his silver '98 S70T5.

So those of you familiar with the Volvo Silver and Pewter, what do you think? If darker, do you think it would still look good as the hood or would I have to paint it?

Thanks in advance.

Great car by the way. I've been driving it for the past 2 weeks instead of my G35 and am quite impressed with it!
