Default cool down fan for turbo ?

picked up a nice clean 99 s70 T5 . just wondered if there was supposed to be a fan or anything running after motor shut off to cool down turbo.

this is my first volvo and first turbo car too.

I know I read something on here once but dont remember what model it was for

The car has an electric fan. It is not for the turbo but the engine compartment in general. If the engine is hot when you shut the car off, it will likely run for a few minutes. As for the turbo, you need to let the car cool down a little if you have been running it hard before you turn it off or you can cause oil to cook in the turbo.

i got a 98 volvo s70 t5 and mine randomly started to do that in the winter and i changed the thermostat and now it dont do it anymore
