My car completely shut off on me...I have (ETS) warning light that stays constant on my dash as well as a pointed up ^ arrow.....the arrow ^ and the (ETS) warning stays on when I'm trying to start mr car!! It cranks and barks like she wants to turn over but never starts.... I replace the fuel pump in which I see it wasn't the problem because I tested it after it was removed.... plus I ran a wire straight from the battery to the new fuel pump,,CAR STARTED RIGHT UP!! But as soon as I removed the wire car died again

 

What condition is your fuel pump relay? Solder joints in them crack and prevent current from going to the pump.

 

Try removing the fuel pump relay and putting a jumper wire in its place. this will cause the fuel pump to run. Try starting the car and if it runs and stays running, you have a bad fuel pump relay. Instructions for jumping the relay are here on the forum, just do a quick search. Good luck!
