drivers side window switch removal?
my drivers side window is stuck down. im thinking its the switch because all the other windows roll up and down with no problems, it just the drivers window. so i was thinking that until i get the money to replace the switch, i could pull up the switch and rewire my drivers side window to roll up and down when i use my rear left window switch.
but how do i pull the switch out of my door?
do i have to take the paneling off the inside of the door first?
how do i get access to the bottom of the switch where the wiring is?

I wouldn't suggest trying to rewire the master window switch. All of the wires that connect to the bottom of the switch are encased in plastic/phenolic plugs that snap onto the bottom of the switch assembly. I recently replaced my master window switch with one I purchased from FCP Groton

I followed the directions in VADIS for the removal. I taped the end of a putty knife with some electrical tape and worked the blade down between the switch module and door trim slot it fits into. Carefully use the putty knife to work the switch out of the door. Once you have it out you'll need to remove both electrical connectors to remove the old switch. This is easier said than done and I very carefully used a set of channel lock pliers to pull the connectors off the bottom of the switch. Then it's just snap the connectors onto the new switch and press the switch back into the door recess. Overall a pretty easy job.
