Now as most people know the AWD s70 and v70 came with a dual exhaust option. Is it possible to get a AWD rear bumper with the cut away section and the EST Dual exhaust kit for my FWD car. I understand that under the two types of cars is differnt as the awd has power going to the rear wheels, which Im assuming changes the layout underneath the car. But Does the differnce leave no room to mount the second exhaust on a fwd car?.......

 

The bumper will fit yes.

The AWD dual exhaust from EST I don't think it will fit your FWD.

 

Well I assume it wont fit w/o modification as if it did Im sure they would sell it. Im looking to figure out how much modification it would take for it to work?

-s70driver, any chance you could snap some pics of your exhaust and undercarrage in the back area? Then I can compare it to mine. I just dont know anyone who has an AWD that I could look at.

 

It will be awhile till I will get under my car and snap pics.

 

Im not sure if the exhaust will fit I will try to look on Monday if we have an AWD in the shop.

 

Why not just have a local muffler shop fab you a dual exhuast system up for you? I'm sure it would be less then the AWD dual exhaust available which more then likely will not fit without modification and the modification wouldn't be worth the hassle to make it fit.

Just have a local muffler shop fab you a 2.5" mandrel bent system with two free flowing straight through design mufflers. I bet it would cost less then the prefabbed AWD version from IPD and EST and if anything it might cost around the same.

 

hmm, this is true, I might just get the one side done at a local place. Might be cheaper than EST or IPD, both their systems are around $700

 

To be honest you wont see much if any gains from a dual exhaust system, since it wont be a true dual exhaust. Plus a dual exhaust adds weight.

 

That is very much true, I think I will pass on the dual exhaust.
