Hi all - I have a 99 S70 GLT with a great engine, but it has a broken piece on the subframe that turns my otherwise decent Volvo into a parts car. Can anyone tell me what other years/models this engine is compatible with? I thought I had the engine sold but the buyer came back saying he has a 1998 S70 GLT and was told the 98 and 99's are incompatible.

99 and 2000 S70 and V70 and I believe 99-03 C70

 

The motors themselves are pretty much the same but the 99s run a very different ECU. 99s also have an ETM.

 

ETM, CVVT, coil on plug ignition..
