Default engine questions very confused

Ok doing a engine swap. looked up the vin on my 1998 S70 GLT, and the 6th and 7th Number on the vin is 56. So I called the salvage yard and they set me up with a B5254 T already have it at the shop. Buying parts from o'reilys and a volvo dealer in omaha.

from o'reilys i got a water pump, and a thermostat and they matched the numbers to a 2.4 L turbo

from Volvo in Omaha I got oil pan kit, and turbo gasket/oring kit. They say that I dont have a 2.4 that I have a 2.5 T wich acourding to wiki is B5244 T3. which matches there chart. (are these parts interchangeable?)

I have to drive across the state and i only have 3 days to put this thing in so I want to have all my ducks in a row.

(I am almost possitive that the original motor in that car was a 2.4 turbo, am I wrong, and did I buy the wrong motor? or is omaha worng?)

Please help

I doubt the dealer is wrong. Have you looked at that sticker on the front of the timing belt cover? The sticker below says that motor is at B6304 S.

yea I am having everything shipped to the location of the car. the car is 400 miles away in a garage.( where it has been sitting since it blew up ) So i dont have the abilty to be hands on at this point. trying to get everything in order for the big trip this sunday.

I think I got everything figured out the dealer says that it is a 2.5 , and everyone who says it is a 2.4 is wrong

seems to me that that they just have it entered in there computer's diff. than the rest of the world. thanks for the reply though

This info from the Volvo site says 2.4: https://www.customers.volvocars.com/.../1998_S70.html

This on Volvo's site says 2.5: https://www.customers.volvocars.com/..._133.htm#pg135

They don't even know. LOL

Guys, I don't get this at all... I thought there were 3 engines, and that's it.:

2.4 liter n/a
2.4 liter low-pressure turbo
2.3 liter high-pressure turbo

RSPI, even the site you reference as a source for your 2.5 liter information says it's a 2.4.

One says 2.4 and the other says 2.5. I believe our GLT is a 2.5. In the original post, he states that the salvage yard told him "B5254 T". That is:
B
5 = cylinder
2.5 = liter
4 = valves per cylinder
T = turbo engine
