I have a 1999 2.4 litre turbo s70 Volvo. I need a new Etm or electronic throttle module and I am wondering if I can purchase a used or rebuilt etm and just install it with out programming it or is the part hopefully just a plug and play type situation.

 

The only solution that makes the car drive without issues is a new unit from Volvo. Sometimes they have enough default software to be able to drive the vehicle to get it programmed and that saves the labor charge on the installation. The last one that I did was like that and I had it programmed to clear all codes and function perfectly.
