Just bought a 98 S70 non-turbo.

All the speakers on the left side of the vehicle don't work. Any ideas to what the problem could be?

Also the locks on the passenger door and the 2 rear doors dont go up unless they are manually pulled but do go down when you lock the car from the lock button or from the outside with the key. Any idea on this problem?

Is it a stock or aftermarket stereo? May just be some loose wires on the back of the deck. It is possible it could be the speakers themselves, but Id think theyd work slightly or crackle if it were them.

Again, may be loose wires or perhaps faulty power locks. I'd take of the door panel and take a volt meter in there and try and find out whats going on.

 

As for the speakers, maybe they are faded all the way to the right. If the stereo is the same as the T-5, pull the volume **** out and turn it to the middle position. This will set the speakers to equal strength on both sides.

 

its the original stereo. I will try to turn the **** and see what i get.

Also you can hear the locks making a noise when you try to unlock them but nothing happens so it sounds like there getting power just not going up, but like i said they do go down.
