Fog light connector scorched

Fog light connector scorched
Hi all,
I have a '98 S70 GLT. When I purchased the car used at ~70k miles the fog lights worked.
I've since replaced the bulbs several times over the past 40k miles.
The last time I went to change them, I noticed the bulb holders and wiring connector
were scorched and corroded.
I asked the stealer about the connector and was told it is a full harness (read $$$$)
I called a couple of wreckers and none had any '97-2000 s70's, 850's or v70's
The bulb socket/holder (p/n 862-0226) is about $12 IIRC.
Has anyone else with the factory fogs had this problem and how should I correct it? Can I get the connector (only) for the harness and solder it in?
The other option I see is buy 2 of the bulb holders, cut off the wiring harness connectors, solder the wires directly into the bulb
holder and expoxy the snot out of it.
Suggestions?
I'll try to snap a pic if I get a minute tonight.
EDIT: Searching only turned up some aftermarket stuff []
TIA,
-travis

RE: Fog light connector scorched
my headlight connector did the same thing and the dealer told me I'd need a new connector, but the assembly had to come with a new headlight (about 300). That was ridiculous, however I kept looking, and the people who did the body work for Volvo had the connectors, I'm not sure how different they may be but keep looking around to other Volvo dealers, besides the shipping is only a few bucks. I too did look at splicing the wires and putting another connector, but I couldn't find one. If you found one I don't see why you wouldn't be able to fix it yourself, best of luck

RE: Fog light connector scorched
Unfortunately all I've been able to find is the entire fog light assembly, not even the 'entire' wiring harness on most websites.
Then again, I haven't fully traced the wiring back from the connector to find out how much of a 'harness' it really is.
