Default Gash in Tire - does it need replacement

I have Kumho Ecsta Platinum tires. Recently had a minor mishap which resulted in a gash in a tire about 3/4 of an inch from the rim. There is a flap of rubber triangular in shape measuring about 1 inch on each side, with one side of the triangle still attached to the tire. It appears that the chord may be just barely exposed but it looks like there is still some rubber over it. Measuring the flap with a caliper I measure about 0.130 inches at its thickest point. There is no loss of air pressure from the tire. Tire has about 7500 miles, do I need to replace it or can use type of vulcanizing rubber compound to cement the flap back in place?

If you think it can be repaired is there something that you would recommend ?

Go to a few tire shops for opinions.
If the steel belt is not exposed then you are OK.
Once the side belts are exposed, it is dangerous!
