Exclamation Have $800 for engine repairs, what do i do?

Hi there, I bought a 98 Volvo s70 t5 with 257kms, and when I bought it it was coming up with p0172 lean code which has since gone away but am now getting misfire(s). I am planning on replacing the spark plugs, wires, distributor, rotor but that is only about $200 repairs. I still have $600 in my budget to put towards the engine, what do you recommend putting that towards to do while its at the shop? there is a small oil leak that seems to be coming from the turbo that I want to get looked at, any other ideas what would cause the msifires? Thanks, Sutton

Hi and welcome to the site.

No, not really. Low compression maybe. Maybe have them do a compression test, or do one yourself.

Start with a proper diagnosis so you don't throw money at it if it needs bigger repairs.
