Help my S70 wont start!
Hi I am yet to introduce myself but my name is Ash and I live in New Zealand.
Being cocky and thinking I had found an awesome deal last week I bought a 98 S70 2.0L T5 with a possible immobiliser problem (199XXXk's).
Basically I can turn the ignition on and instantly hear the fuel pump prime and the majority of the dash lights come on except the service light and check engine.
When I turn the car over it fires and runs for all of a second and shuts off, touching the gas does nothing.
I have done an OBDII scan and found two faults, one was the antenna loop transmitter (fixed now) and a 0213? ecm communication fault.
The alarm has been bypassed many years ago and I am running out of ideas, the old owner basically went shopping jumped back into the car and it wouldn't start so it was towed and eventually he decided to purchase a later model volvo.
I can get the electrics from a local euro wrecker will swapping the ecu and immobiliser computers work? the idea was to remove the loop antenna and sit the transponder key from the doner car in it whilst my original key is in the ignition.
Hope it all makes sence, any comments are welcome.

It has been to three independent Auto Electricians and scanned four times withe the same fault code (communication fault with ecm) so I doubt it will be the maf but I will clean it in my spare time.
