High Altitude Turbo Questions..
HI all...
I live at 7000 feet and just bought my first turbo, a 2000 S70 GLT. This car was maintained very well, and seems to ahve lived most of it's life in California and Arizona.
Does anyone out there know if there is anything I need to know about consistently running this car at high altitude? I'm new to turbochargers, but know they operate within certain air pressure parameters. Is 7000 feet high enough to effect that? Is there something I should do for peak performance?
Any advice would be appreciated..
Thanks!

RE: High Altitude Turbo Questions..
Just run 91+ octane and keep on regular maintenance (run fully synthetic oil grades that match the weather).
Also let the car fully warm up before you mash the pedal...
And let the car idle for a minute or two after you drive (depends on how long the drive was) to let the turbo cool down.
I know that the air is thinner the higher up you are, so that will effect your motorspower output.
Good luck
