What is a resonable cost to replace the timing belt in S70 T5?

 

Usually from about $400.00 to about $700.00 depending on alot of things.
Like Area, all parts replaced ETC.

 

I paid $600 to have it replaced in my S60.

 

my volvo dealer offered to do it for $300. i hope he wasn't lying???

 

Once your dealer gets in there and starts doing the work, he will tell you all the other things you need, as well as the stuff he recommends "while we're in there."

 

surprised others haven't mentioned how many miles on the car and has it been replaced before?

-Nobody is doing it for $300 and if they are they aren't doing it right
-If for instance, you want it done right with a new tensioner and idler pully and possibly a water pump, then the parts alone wholesale are $250/$300
-the belt itself is about $30, dealer will charge $45 probably
-you should get the serpentine belt done at the same time

dealer will charge at least 3 hours labor plus parts
