How to replace the front cam seals on the Volvo S70 GLT and likely the 850.
Here are my step by step instructions for replacing the front cam shaft seals for the Volvo S70 GLT. These instructions will probably work on the 850's as well. Photos included:

You note that you pushed the exhaust cam seal in too far, but left it there because you didn't want to damage it by removing it: did it leak? I ask, because I just installed both front cam seals by pushing them in as far as they'd go, and would rather replace them now, before completing reassembly, if it's necessary.
