Default Howdy!

Hello All. As a "newbie" I've come begging for help. I've done as requested and searched the forums for similar problems I've had and TO NO AVAIL. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

98 S70 $400 at a shop that says they fix imports and the car still will not start. The problems started with high idle and vacuum leaks. It started cutting off at stop lights, would immediately start back up, then drive fine. Since it was my aunt's car, then my moms i figured check the plugs and wires. >170,000 miles and all original plugs and wires. It stops and is towed to the shop. $300 on plugs and wires, "women are so gullable at shops" 60 bucks in parts for 300 bucks. My mom gets the car back and it runs. Then my brother is given the car it stops againis towed to the shop. They want 800 because they say the fuel pump is dead. I tell him to get the car back to my house the shop charged 100 bucks to diagnose a fuel pump dead. We go to the local auto salvage get a fuel pump out of a wrecked 850 w/ the 2.3 turbo engine, put it in the car, nothing. I check the fuel rail for pressure, nothing. OK OK Dummy Check. The lines were switched from the fuel pump. Tried to start nothing then sputter then a little smoke. It ran but not good then died. Would not restart. Changed the fuel filter it started up. Dummy Check again, started it two more times just to make sure. Checked the plugs and wires again plugs dark. That means not enough spark or not sparking at all. Distributor rotor and Cap. Then the battery's dead. We jump it and it starts fine and when I removed the jumper cables IT QUIT. We try to jump it again and nothing for 30 minutes we tried to start it and nothing. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP. OH and i looked under the fuse box and the Air Pump Relay is missing the manual we have for it says nothing about it cause it says run the engine and check it.
