Here's another quickie - after curiosity overcame me and I was rooting around the couple blanks i have on my dash, I noticed that where my info **** would be plugged in, there was already wires; I'm talking about what would give me the instantaneous/avg. mpg etc.
My question is as you probably already have guessed, is what would it take to get these niceties? Just finding a **** to plug in (doubtful), or replacing the whole stock gauge cluster behind the wheel as well? or maybe only the LCD display...

The dealer might charge between .5 and 1.0 labor for turning it on.
Not sure about the switch.
Most of the time you can take a flashlight and look in the clock area and see where all the trip settings are in the clock area.
That will also confirm that you have everything and it can just be activated.
Some dealers will say you need the entire clock assembly and everything. But I have turned some of the functions on before on cars.
