Default Interior Rear Seat Map/Dome Lights Not Working with LED bulbs.

So I decided to convert all the interior bulbs to LEDs. The two by the driver and front passenger work, but I tried the ones in the back but they don't. Plugging in the old incandescent bulb works still, but the LED ones do not work. I got the correct size and everything. Any help?

Did you turn them over? They are polarity sensitive. You got a 50/50 chance of them coming on when you install them.

Tried that already. The ones in the front work just fine, but the ones in the back seat don't light at all. Also, I tried swapping the glovebox bulb out for an led one, but that one didn't work either.

How are you turning them on?
Did they work before?

They turn on when the doors are open.

I tried doing this to my S70 a couple years ago and ran into the exact same problem. I was dumbfounded and just ended up putting the incandescent bulbs back in because I got so frustrated.

Default Same Experience

When installing new LEDs I encountered the same issue, and yes even when the door was open/close the issue ensued. Will trying disassembling and cleaning connectors i guess... S70 btw

Default same issue

I am sat in my S70 attempting to replace all interior lighting with LED bulbs. Front interior ceiling lights work no problem but the rear ceiling lights will not work with LED bulbs!

Did anyone figure out a solution? It's not a problem with polarity!

Try to buy LED panel car interior lamp DC12V. They have pretty good life guarantee and extra feature that makes reducing brightness. Also you do not need to change bulbs frequently which is extremely convenient. I purchased
car lighting car lighting
here from Amazon and from my own experience, I can say that these lights are bright for real! Great for lighting up vehicle interiors or making a work light for precision projects. I also plan to use them as back lighting for shadow boxes. In addition, what I personally enjoyed, I'm very lazy person and they are very easy to install, just plug and play.

These are the ones I used in my 98 S70. Worked fine although they are not quite as bright as I would like. Definitely a improvement over stock.

No worries, I found the info useful as I have had the LED issue for years.

Did these work in the glove box and rear seat lights? My won't work with led. Tried two different bulbs.
