Volvo S70 Made from 1998 to 2000, this sporty model replaced the 850 sedan and instantly became a hit.

Keep the super clean 1998 S70, or the 97 850 T5?

Default Keep the super clean 1998 S70, or the 97 850 T5?

I just purchased a base model 1998 S70. It has 109k miles, is really clean, has been well maintained and timing belt was replaced not long ago. I also have a 1997 850 T5 with 90k miles, new timing belt, and some oil leaks.

Which car would be the best "gamble" for longevity, and least costs? I'm not worried about comfort, quickness, or anything other than economy (repairs and fuel economy). Seems obvious to me that the base model has less stuff to fail, but they are different years....so maybe I'm missing something.

thanks!

Keep the S70. It's the '97 850 with over 700 improvements according to Volvo.

S70.
Turbo related costs alone will start to add up. Nicer looking car too!

Jeeeezz!! I would keep both!!

Those are two of the best models and years that volvo ever made; and both have low miles on the clock. Whichever one you sell you're gonna regret it...
