In my sons 2000 S70 GLT SE, the key has started to stick a lot. When one places the key into the ignition, it is hard to turn, almost like something is locked up. Even when one places their foot on the brake and turns the steering wheel (which would normally help), this no longer seems to do the trick. Does anyone know if spraying some WD40 in would help or hurt?

 

It might help and it might not.
The ignition switch(mechanical part) might be bad.
