Default keyless entry bat. replacement help!

replaced battery in my 2000 volvo s70's keyless entry remote because it slowly stopped working...
i replaced battery with correct 3 volt battery and placed it in right alignment and it does not work
please help!!
is their a relearning technique... such as turning on and of the car 3 times and pressing unlock?
please help me!

No nothing to relearn. Make sure all connections are clean.

Not sure if this applies, but I just changed out the battery in my keyless remote. Found out (according to my owner's manual) that it takes TWO batteries, not just one. Maybe check your manual to see if that applies to you. Like I said, not sure if it does apply, but it's worth a look.

From what I have seen so far, dealer programming is needed. Sucks!

just one battery. make sure its the right kind. no dealer programming needed. i've changed mine twice
