Default manual boost controller

i am looking to install a manual boost controller. wondering the difficulty of the installation, and also the effectiveness of such a controller. Has anyone done this on their LPT s70? any advice is appreciated.

The 99 and up cars really do not like the MBC installed from what I hear. I have never tried myself to see exactly.

Tech is correct in stating that the 99 and up do not like MBC's. You can try running one and you may not have problems, then again you could run one and have all the problems in the world.

It has to do with the cars software which is ME7. It will detect too much boost and knock it down.

An ECU upgrade is the better and safer route.

*If you do decide to go with a MBC get a real boost gauge. One that can read 25 In Hg / 25 PSI. Also this idea of a real boost gauge goes the same if you get an ECU upgrade.
