Default This Might Be A Dumb Question

Hey All,

I'm brand new to the volvo scene, (except my 1983 back in the day) and I just picked up a 1998 S70 non-turbo. Has anyone ever installed a stock volvo turbo on a non-turbo S70? I really love this car, but I could use a little more power. Please let me know!!!

Thanks Guys!

p.s. I've only had this car for a few days and I'm a Volvo fan forever!

1. Welcome

2. Yes people have put turbo's on NA Volvo's.

3. It truely isn't worth it. Sell your NA and buy an already turbocharged Volvo.

I say the above because...

a. You will need the turbo.
b. Turbo lines
c. intercooler hard pipes
d. intercooler hoses
e. vaccum lines
f. intercooler
g. ECU tuning (Biggest part of the whole deal here. Lots of custom tuning, time and dyno time needed)
h. Injectors
i. Etc....

Your looking at a good $3000 to turbo your NA. Also trying to mod an NA is pointless in general if you didn't do a turbo upgrade to it. You wont get anywhere near what a turboed Volvo produces.
