MY 98 S70 GLT
Hey guys,
Just a few questions.
I got my s70 last august having just a little under 98,000 miles on it. And now its about 110,000 miles on it.
Is there anything I should probably get checked out. Get replaced. I do know that I had to get new tires and new rear breaks back in september. Should I changed the timing belt, sparks, and other things that will help my s70. Also, my gas miliage seems realy low. Maybe near 10mpg. How can I fix this? And finaly, just recently, I've been feeling alot of vibration coming from my break pedal. It last for maybe 3 secs. But it happens maybe once a night. any thoughts or advice. Thanks

1. If you have a turbo your going to have...
A. A turbo.
B. A intercooler
C. Charge pipes
^ This is just a random set of identifiers.
Anyways...
2. If you have a turbo you have a turbo. It doesn't come on when you flick a switch. It comes on when you press the peddle and you go from vacuum into boost. If you had a vacuum/boost gauge you'd see what I am talking about.
3. Here is an example of a volvo turboed engine.
FYI it is an 850 engine. However you see two black pipes. One going over the engine and into the back area and one coming from the front. Those are the charge pipes. If your turboed that is what yours should look like. FYI the design of the pipes might be different this picture is only for reference only.

The turbo gauges don't come with the car stock, so you'd have to put one in yourself. If I recall correctly, the GLT S70s have a very light/small turbo installed on them, so you definitely have one on there.
