my first car
today i got my first car, a white 1998 volvo s70. i'm really excited about it. i wanted to know if there was anything i should know about this particular model or about volvos in general that i should know. i'm really happy to have this car and i'm glad i stopped in at the dealership it was at!
i also have a question. when i try to turn the radio on, i get the "CODE" message which i hear is common. other than going to a volvo dealer/mechanic, is there a way i can get the code to make it work? thanks.

I just replied to your post in the New Members Area.
As for the radio, you need a code (4-digit) to make it active. If you cannot find it in the car, visit a dealer and give them your VIN so they can look it up for you. Some dealers seem to require photo ID, so make sure you have one.
Other than the radio, make sure that the scheduled maintenance items have been regularly taken care of. I would say more than 85% of the cars on the road are past due date for scheduled maintenance. Make the timing belt your top priority.
