i hit something on the highway and it busted this sensor off. located on passengers side on the frame behind the radiator.

 

IDK, It kinda looks like that sensor that is on the old 240's that helps the car start.

 

ive narrowed it down to an acceleration sensor and ambient temp sensor from reading the forums. just not sure which one it is. i need to get the wiring harness to it. i hope volvo has it! ill get the code thats popping up for it and post it as soon as i get my obdII next week. but if you have an 850, it should be on your car too.

 

It is the acceleration sensor. It is mainly only on the 98 S70's.
You might be able to go to a salvage yard and find a plug. It is a fairly common plug for many cars.
