Default Need Modification Tips

Hello Fellow Volvo People!
I own a 2000 S70 GLT SE, with 192,000 mi (engine replaced, has 67,000). I would really love to modify this car on not a lot of money...First thing I want to do is lower it! It's sitting on 17 inch rims from a s40 R. I was looking at IPD springs, but not sure if there might be a better brand. Also how much would it cost, and is there anything else I would need to buy?
HELP HELP HELP!!

"Mods" and "not a lot of money" are two opposing forces.

Depends what kinds "mods" you have in mind; what your goals are, etc.. If I were you, first thing I would do is budget for xemodex ETM and maybe trans OH in near future (assuming those haven't been done already).

There's one guy who posted on VS (volvospeed.com) complaining his IPD springs have settled/sagged over just a few years. Properly made springs should never do that. BTW you'll find more modders over there; mostly into maint here but there are a few of us in 850 section.

Nice ride BTW!

I spring is integral with the strut. A spring change shouldn't change the height, unless you get too short and it flops around between the base and top. A shorter strut would have a better affect. A little dimensional research should help. It will also keep the ride reasonable. You may need shorter antisway links
