Default Oil Leak

Hello,

I discovered recently that my S70 is leaking oil. I went for an oil change and asked the mechanic if he had found the amount of oil left in the engine too low. His response was it's normal for an old car to leak some oil.

Well, today I found quite a significant amount of oil under my car and when I looked under the car, there was fresh oil that looked as if it was dripping from the engine. Before I did that, I checked the dipstick and the amount of oil was not low.

How much oil leak is okay?

No leak is ok. Small leaks usually turn into big leaks sooner or later. You should figure out where it is leaking from and fix it or have it fixed by someone that knows what they are doing.
